Christophe de Backer will be joining the Edmond de Rothschild Group on February 1, 2012, initially as Chairman of the Executive Committee of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild in Geneva. His appointment was approved by the Board of Directors of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild at a meeting held in Geneva on January 10, 2012.

This year ultimate victory just slipped from the grasp of the crew of Edmond de Rothschild Group. However, Pierre Pennec and his three crew certainly don’t have anything to be ashamed about in their very fine second place given the fantastic line-up that made up the fleet for this year’s Extreme Sailing Series and the intensity of this 2011 season.

Jean-Pierre Pieren, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild SA, Geneva, has decided to retire after many years devoted to our Bank and Group. He will step down from our Bank's Executive Committee at the end of April 2012.
Mr Pieren's duties as Chief Operating Officer will be taken over by Manuel Leuthold, a Geneva native born in 1959.

Regained confidence aboard Edmond de Rothschild Group: the Trapani Grand Prix (Italy) drew to a close this Sunday after five days of competition which enjoyed a degree of intensity never before seen in the Extreme Sailing Series. Right up till the final race, four crews were still in contention for outright victory.

Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild S.A. received the banking licence for our new Hong Kong branch from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
